Joining the ranks of our best selling potent mushroom triple extracts is the much awaited Tremella!
Tremella is beautifying: The ability to stimulate Superoxide Dismutase is beneficial when it comes to beautification, as SOD is known to protect and regenerate skin, preventing and reversing wrinkling and sagging skin. Tremella is also shown to be more effective than hyaluronic acid, as it holds more than 5x the amount of water that HA can. It also naturally increases the body's ability to produce its own HA, which declines as we age. Tremella improves skin elasticity, nourishes the skin, naturally moisturises, slows and reverses the signs of ageing, brightens the complexion, and evens skin tone.
Tremella is known as a lung tonic, with an ability to restore and replenish the lungs. It is also known to help cool heat in the lungs, moisten dry airways, and can be used to support those with asthma. It is also antitussive (helps quell a cough), and its mucilage here makes it an ideal candidate for a dry cough that won't quit or is causing additional spasms in the lung. It is also a light expectorant, so the mucilage can help rehydrate stuck congestion and then allow it to pass out of the body.
Tremella is a digestive tonic: Tremella is made of up to 90% polysaccharides, which is why it has a jelly like consistency. This mucilage is responsible for a lot of its health benefits, but it really has an affinity for the GI tract. If you take the Doctrine of Signatures into consideration, its softly folded tissue looks similar to intestinal mesentary, the tissue that supports the intestines and allows for proper blood flow into the intestinal tract. The mucilage of tremella allow it to soothe an irritated gut, helping with stomach ulcers, relieving constipation, and promoting a healthy gut lining and microbiome. It has even been shown to help balance levels of H. pylori in the gut over consistent use. This is an important thing to consider, since tremella is not antimicrobial, yet its demulcent action allows for a healthy tissue environment for good bacteria to thrive and modulate the microbiome. Tremella also contains N-acetylglucosamine for supporting gut health, and Glucomannan and Glucuronic acid for supporting the body's natural detox processes.
Tremella is considered adaptogenic because of its restorative properties. Historically, it was used to rebuild and replenish the body and was attributed to living a longer life.
It is also immune-modulating, anti-oxydant and anti-inflammatory.
Ingredients: Tremella fuciformis, medical-grade ethanol, honey, water and glycerine.
